Great Leaders are Confident, Connected, Committed and Courageous

Great leaders demonstrate four elements to inspire action: They are confident in themselves, connected to others, committed to purpose and emotionally courageous. To have a powerful presence you need to excel at all four simultanously

Great article from Harvard Business Review about why these four elements are so important - and with tips on how to address each of them.

Characteristics of each element - how you get stuck (and how you get unstuck)...måske mere på deres interconnectedness???

  • CONFIDENT in yourself - even successful people may struggle with confidence. Sometimes working hard and trying to prove yourself comes from some degree of insecurity or fear of failure.

  • CONNECTED to others - ccc

  • COMMITTED to purpose - yyy

  • Emotionally COURAGEOUS -

I particularly like the emotionally courageous part - as that is definitely my learning too. Daring to be vulnerable, daring to lead up, daring to challenges people and give relevant feedback or engage in difficult conversations. If you don’t dare to fx be vulnerable, you cannot build trust and get the help you need to do great. But is sounds more easy than it is in practice…
